Today we experienced moments in history where the English people pulled together in moments of adversity.
Phew, so hot today – temperature up to 29 degrees Celsius! A wonderful start at Kensington Palace – so beautiful and tranquil. We walked down to Lady Diana’s memorial which was a happy, busy place on this lovely day. There we enjoyed an ice-cream while walking back to the War Museum. Went to Churchill’s War Rooms and then caught the red bus for the first time to meet Karin at the square by London Bridge. Enjoyed a drink and a snack in the warm evening sunshine before heading back home. What a great day, once again!

The obligatory ice-cream pic. In Nikki’s defense, although she doesn’t need one, it was a hot day in London.
