• Iga Świątek captured her first Wimbledon title in emphatic style, overpowering Amanda Anisimova with a rare 6-0, 6-0 scoreline — the first double bagel in a women’s final at Wimbledon in over a century. The match lasted under an hour, further cementing Świątek’s status as a dominant force across all surfaces. This win marked her sixth Grand Slam title.
• In the Men’s Doubles Final, British pair Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool made history by becoming the first all-British team in the Open Era to win the title. They defeated Rinky Hijikata and David Pel in straight sets, 6‑2, 7‑6(3), delighting the home crowd with their breakthrough performance.

🏆 Sunday, 13 July – Men’s Final and Royal Appearances

• Jannik Sinner made Italian tennis history by winning his first Wimbledon title, defeating Carlos Alcaraz in four sets: 4‑6, 6‑4, 6‑4, 6‑4. Sinner’s win ended Alcaraz’s hopes of a third consecutive Wimbledon crown and highlighted the Italian’s rise to the very top of the men’s game.
• Off the court, Princess Kate was seen making a sweet gesture—after gifting signed tennis balls to Princes George and Charlotte, she requested a personalized one from Sinner for Prince Louis, ensuring the youngest royal wasn’t left out.
• The final also attracted a host of stars in the crowd, including Matthew McConaughey, who drew attention with his respectful nod to the royal family as they arrived on Centre Court.

✨ Final Weekend Highlights

• Świątek’s historic win was one of the most lopsided in Wimbledon finals history.

It was a weekend packed with milestones, emotions, and moments that will go down as some of the most memorable in Wimbledon’s modern era.

Onto the fantasy leaderboard:

In 1st Place we have ‘Deuce Bags‘ who since taking the lead has dominated the leaderboard and they ended up with a lead of 18 points over their nearest challenger. With our biggest prize pot to date thanks to the biggest entry list this was the grand slam to win. Jaden wins his first one and goes home with R1500 for his efforts. Congratulations!!

In 2nd Place is ‘Carry on Regardless‘. They moved up 1 spot and into 2nd place after the 2 finals played out. They moved into the top 5 and once they were there, they never left. What a performance and Nils will be taking home a very impressive R800 for his efforts.

In 3rd Place and moving up 3 Spots was ‘Grasshopper’. They have been battling at the top for most of the tournament and will be relieved to have moved back into the top 3 right at the end of the tournament. Wendell will be taking home R500 for his 3rd place.

In 4th place was a huge surprise as they moved up 24 places on the last 2 days. This team was ‘Net Breakers‘. The reason they moved up was because I made a slight mistake so apologies for them but the mistake was rectified and they have now finished in the correct position. Well done ‘Don‘ for finishing in 4th and taking home ‘R250‘.

In 5th place and moving up 1 spot on the final 2 days of action is ‘Lucky Strings‘. Well done to Cathy for finishing in 5th and she will be taking home ‘R150‘.

In 6th place and leaving their surge up the leaderboard late was ‘Hard Hitters‘. They had an up and down tournament as they were in the top 5 for most of the tournament before settling in 9th place. However the results went their way in the finals and it meant a nice 6th place finish for them. Congratulations to Max for finishing in 6th and taking home R100.

The last prize position was 7th spot and despite having a terrible end to the tourmanent dropping 5 spots, they hang onto 7th place and will be taking home a prize of R50. Well done to Don again with his team called Get a Grip for coming in 7th.

Lucky Prizes:

The lucky prizes were once again highly contested and the first lucky prize position is 27th spot and we needed a wheel to decide the winner of this R50 because 3 teams ended in 27th spot. The winner of the wheel was Soft Serve. Well done to Don Hugo for winning the R50 for 27th spot.

The next prize position was 47th spot. This position was won outright by Team Tennis who finished on 205 points. Well Done to Alistair who will take home R50 for their efforts.

The prize position is 58th place and this was once again a tie but this time it was a tie between just 2 teams. The winner of the spinner was ‘AI of the Tiger‘. Congratulations to ‘Katherine‘ who will be taking home R50 for her efforts.

In 75th spot was just 1 team who ended on 151 points and this team was ‘Let go my toe‘ owned by Mr Sean Reilly. He will be taking home R50.

The last spot prize was 87th spot and despite not picking any winners, she will be taking home R50 for her efforts. ‘Faulty Feet‘ was our winner of 87th spot and has won R50.

The prize everyone doesn’t want but secretly does want to win when everything is not going well…the wooden spoon. The winner of the wooden spoon is…’Forrest Town‘ who unfortunately managed to only get 65 points over 2 weeks of action. Congratulations to ‘Charlotte’ who will be taking home the wooden spoon until the US Open.
