Roland Garros – Mens Semi-Finals
Men’s Singles: Changing of the Guard
Sinner Ends Djokovic’s Paris Run
Top-ranked Jannik Sinner delivered a dominant performance against Novak Djokovic, winning in straight sets: 6–4, 7–5, 7–6(3). Sinner’s clinical play left little room for Djokovic to respond, even as the 38-year-old battled through a thigh issue that required a medical timeout.
After the match, Djokovic hinted that this could have been his last match at Roland Garros, thanking fans and reflecting on the toll of injuries and age on his game.
Alcaraz Moves On After Musetti Injury
On the other side of the draw, Carlos Alcaraz secured a spot in the final after Lorenzo Musetti was forced to retire due to injury. At the time of retirement, Alcaraz had recovered from an early deficit and was leading 4–6, 7–6(3), 6–0, 2–0. Alcaraz’s aggressive and confident play wore down Musetti physically and mentally.
👑 Women’s Final: Gauff vs. Sabalenka
The women’s singles final will see Coco Gauff face off against Aryna Sabalenka. Both are chasing their first Roland Garros title, and the matchup between the top two-ranked women promises high drama—it’s the first time since 1984 that both French Open finals feature the world’s No. 1 and 2.
🔮 Final Ahead: Sinner vs. Alcaraz
The men’s final is set between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz—a first Grand Slam title clash between the two. Alcaraz leads their overall head-to-head 7–4, but Sinner has never looked sharper.
Onto the fantasy leaderboard and there is not much to report on as the top 7 remained unchanged after the Men’s Semi-final results. There is a battle for 30th spot which is being held currently by ‘Hard Hitters’ and ‘Pat’s Pick’. 75th spot continues to be held by ‘Randomizer’. Our 1st teams were eliminated on the men’s semi-final day and our wooden spoon has a new home. ‘Sweet Spot’ was eliminated in 77th spot and our wooden spoon holder was eliminated too…that being ‘New Balls Please’.
