The first set of quarter-finals are complete and half of the semi-finals have been set. In the ladies draw, 1st seed and heavy favourite for the title, Swiatek cruised past 5th seed, Vondrousova. Swiatek dropped just 2 games on her way to the semi-finals where she will face 3rd seed, Gauff. The American came back from a set down against 8th seed, Jabeur to book her spot in the semi-finals.
2nd Seed, Sinner was the first match on, in the mens draw and he cruised past 10th seed, Dimitrov in straights sets. Dimitrov managed to break back at 5-4 down in the 3rd set but couldn’t win the tiebreak. Alcaraz just like Sinner, managed to win straight sets as he beat Tsitsipas comfortably to set up the match we have all been looking forward to…Sinner vs Alcaraz Semi-final.
