Roland Garros – Round 4 – Part 1
It has been a while since my last post and alot has happened since then. I will start with some matches that have occurred before moving onto the fantasy leaderboard. 14th seed, Keys was knocked out by fellow American, Navarro, in 2 tight sets. Keys was picked 18 people so it was a big result in terms of the fantasy league. Arnaldi recored an impressive straight set win against 6th seed Rublev, unfortunately he fell to Tsitsipas in 4 sets in the next round. Overall a good tournament for the young Italian. Djokovic survived a late night thriller. The match against Musetti lasting until just after 3am with Djokovic prevailing in 5 sets. Cerundolo knocked out 14th seed, Paul, who was looking strong in this years French Open. Paul was picked by 14 people so a big result in the fantasy leaderboard. Zverev and Fritz both survived tight 5 set matches in their 3rd round matches. Dimitrov knocked out 8th seed, Hurkacz, in straight sets to finally reach a quarter-final at the French Open. It was the only slam that he had not made it to the last 8.
Onto the fantasy leaderboard and our leader, ‘Pam the Slam’ has pulled out a 13 point gap out front and is trying to run away with it. ‘Aces Wild!’ returns to the top 2 in the leaderboard. ‘Jaden’s Team’ and ‘Left is Best’ sit in a joint 3rd place just 3 points away from 2nd. ‘Sinner’s Injuries’ sit in 5th just 1 point away from the pair in 3rd. ‘Tennis Turtles’ and ‘Miny Moe’ are sitting in a joint 6th and sharing the last 2 prizes currently.
The wooden spoon is still being held by ‘The Ghost’ however they have closed the gap to just 4 points and so the race is now on for that wooden spoon.
