Australian Open – Day 2
Day 2 at the Aussie Open is complete and with that the end of the first round is here. There were some surprising results yesterday and today was no different. Hurkacz, Evans, Anderson and Struff dropped out in the Mens draw. Sakkari, Azarenka and Konta dropped out in the Ladies draw.
Huge changes in the leaderboard as well today. We have a completely different top 5! Notable movers were teams “RF”, “Perfect Pam”, “Lorna’s Leaderboard” and “Aud’s Awesome Ozzie Team”. Perfect Pam moving up an astonishing 39 places, from tied last to 2nd.

Some notable results on Day 2:
Barty getting the maximum amount of points after beating Kovinic 6-0; 6-0. Well done to all the teams that picked her.
Pegula defeating Azarenka 7-5; 6-4. She was 5-2 down in the first set and won an astonishing 5 games in a row.
Defending champion Kenin won her first round match. She beat Australian Inglish – 7-5; 6-4
Svitolina beat Bouzkova 6-3; 7-6(5).
Kontaveit beat Sasnovich 7-5; 6-2
Tsitsipas won easily defeating Simon 6-1; 6-2; 6-1
Berrettini had a tight straight set win against ,South African, Kevin Anderson. He won 7-6(9), 7-5, 6-3. He had to save 7 set points in the first set.
Nadal beat Djere 6-3; 6-4; 6-1
Medvedev beat Pospisil 6-2; 6-2; 6-4
Albot knocking out 12th seed Bautista Agut – 6-7(1); 6-0; 6-4; 7-6(5)
Popyrin beat Goffin in a 5 set encounter – 3-6; 6-4; 6-7(4); 7-6(6); 6-3. He saved 2 match points in the 4th set tiebreak.
Harris beat Torpegaard 4-6; 6-3; 6-2; 6-2
Ymer beat 26th seed Hurkacz 3-6; 6-3; 3-6; 7-5; 6-3
