Wimbledon

No catchy title here. Nikki’s birthday present… A full day spent watching and experiencing Wimbledon

Nikki :

My Birthday . . . .WIMBLEDON!

A dream come true today! It was spectacular to be there – loved every minute of experiencing the grounds and players.  Will come back in heart beat! Because of the International ballot, we were treated like VIP’s when getting our tickets. We enjoyed shopping at the Wimbledon store and visited the practice courts too. It was a lovely hot day watching live tennis while eating some strawberries and cream for £2,50. We left our homemade rolls at home so tucked into a delicious sandwich from a deli instead. Ready to return in a heartbeat . . . preferably with those ballot tickets once more. Arrived at 09h00 and left about 21h00!

Anyone travelling from another country, we definitely recommend entering the overseas ticket ballot. The one caveat being that you will not know what day and court you will get tickets for. Other than that the experience is top notch and it takes the stress out of the big unknown… the queue.
