Amsterdam is a busy city. There are so many people and so many bikes. You have to be so careful walking around and have to check in all directions for any bicycles before crossing any street.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This morning we did a bicycle tour around the streets and canals. I was a little nervous as I hadn’t been on a bike in a while, but it was loads of fun and a great way to see and learn about Amsterdam. We rode around and were given a brief history of Amsterdam. We had a look at some more leaning houses, some amazing houseboats and the most famous bridge in Amsterdam called Skinny Bridge.<\/p>\n

After that we headed to Bloemenmarket. This is a floating market along a canal. Most of the stalls sell tulips, bulbs and souvenirs.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After stopping to have some lunch we headed to the I AMSTERDAM sign. There was some controversy about the sign and I heard it was being taken down. However, it was up in all its glory. However, it is very diffiicult to snap a picture as there are always loads of people there.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We had to try a Dutch classic called a Stroopwafel. It was delicious. It is a wafer made from 2 thin layers of dough with a caramel syrup filling. The shop we went to adds some melted chocolate to half the side and a topping of your choice. YUM!<\/p>\n

It was our last night with our Topdeck<\/a> family before we say goodbye tomorrow. To end off our tour we had dinner cruise through the canals. For dinner we enjoyed chicken and beef curry with rice and a yummy spiced cake for dessert. After that we all went to a couple of bars and clubs to chill out and dance. It was a great end to a wonderful trip.<\/p>\n

One more day in Amsterdam before heading to Paris<\/a>. Vaarwel!<\/p>\n
