It was so nice to have a little lie in this morning before heading out to explore Prague. By 9 o’clock it was already 28 degrees and so we didn’t stay out too long. It reached a high of 36 degrees today and this evening it was still over 30, so rather warm. We took a tram to the Prague Castle and had a wonder through the grounds. The cathedral in the centre is massive and so beautifully constructed.<\/p>\n

The view from the castle is amazing. You can see the whole of Prague from up there.<\/p>\n

After admiring the view, we went exploring the local streets. We popped into some shops and ate some lunch. Prague is known for its Bohemian crystal and they make the most beautiful ornaments and jewelry out of it.<\/p>\n

We couldn’t come to Prague without having a chimney cake. It is made from a pastry which is cooked on a stick over coals. Once cooked it is coated with cinnamon and sugar and if you like filled with ice-cream. I highly recommend these as they are so delicious.<\/p>\n

Tonight we had a Medieval dinner experience. It was such a lot of fun and so different. We sat in the basement of the restaurant and were treated to a 5 course meal with drinks. In between each course there were various acts. We had belly dances, sword fighting, sword balancing, little skits and fire dancing. It was a great evening of entertainment and food.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow we are on the road again and head for Germany! Ahoj!<\/p>\n
