After breakfast at the hotel we set off for the long journey to <a href=\"http:\/\/eishonline.co.za\/travel\/2017\/07\/18\/hello-venice\/\">Venice<\/a>. We had stops along the way but it did take all day to get here.<\/p>\n<p>We stopped at Verona and marveled at the wonderful arena in the centre of Verona. This is the second arena I have seen and it is just crazy to think how old they are. It used to be 6 storeys high but now not much is left. It is now used for concerts and festivals, and there is one being set up right now.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-291\" src=\"https:\/\/eishonline.co.za\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/img_20190619_160839.jpg\" width=\"2736\" height=\"3648\" srcset=\"http:\/\/eishonline.co.za\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/img_20190619_160839.jpg 2736w, http:\/\/eishonline.co.za\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/img_20190619_160839-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/eishonline.co.za\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/img_20190619_160839-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2736px) 100vw, 2736px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We then took a walk to the famous Juliet balcony from Shakespeare&#8217;s Romeo and Juliet. It is such a gorgeous courtyard. As you walk in there is lots of graffiti and writing on the walls of the entrance to the courtyard. Inside there is a beautiful statue of Juliet and then the iconic Juliet&#8217;s balcony. It is such a beautiful little town with amazing architecture. Each building has its own unique twist and so many balconies decorated with greenery. It is just beautiful. There was a lovely little market in the centre of Verona which I also enjoyed having a wonder through.
