Today was another pack up day. Our little room on the farm may turn out to be one of our favourites, even though the little country lanes were a little hair-raising at times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last job for our little Peugeot was to get us to the Drach Caves just outside Porto Christo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was really well managed. We had heard and read that one can feel like cattle being herded through the cave so we made sure we were the first time slot for the day. This made all the difference and we had a leisurely 30 min walk admiring the various formations and the odd glimpse of the sea below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were then treated to a 15 minute performance by a string quartet that entered in the dark on a lighted boat. (No pics allowed so imagihe this boat entering a lake at the bottom of a massive cavern flanked by two others all slowly rowed towards a few hundred people seated in an underground amphitheatre). We then had a short boat ride and walk up to the exit of the caves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then took a short drive through Porto Christo before making our way to Palma to check into our new hotel and then returning our car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back using public transport we made our way into Palma city and had a short wander slowly realising it was a Saturday afternoon and things were winding down. We had a late lunch at a little coffee shop before finding a little Gelato shop. They seem to find us in all honesty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the temps still around 36 at 5 o’clock in the afternoon we decided to head back to base and enjoy the afternoon in an air conditioned room before having some tapas on the terrace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
