Paris is calling and I must go!

I took it easy this morning with a lovely, late breakfast. Then packed up all my things and headed for Paris. I had booked a train to Paris. I was a bit nervous as I had never done anything like this before, but it was super easy and efficient.

Once here, I caught a taxi to my accommodation as it was just a whole lot easier. My little room is super tiny. You can barely move around, but luckily I don’t plan on spending too much time here.

I only started exploring Paris at about 5pm. I took the Metro down to the Arc de triomphe. What a sight! The Arc is beautiful and a lot bigger than I had pictured. The vehicles driving around it, is quite a sight to see. I have no idea exactly how it works but it does. There are just cars everywhere moving through imaginary lanes.

I then took a lovely walk down Champs-Élysées towards Place la Concorde. Unfortunately there seems to be something happening soon as there are barricades everywhere. This meant I wasn’t able to get up close to it.

I crossed the Seine River and saw a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. There are so many amazing parks and sculptures all over the city. It is so beautiful.

After wondering around I found a little Cafe for dinner. I had to try a French Creme brulee. It was so good!

I took a long walk back to my room as it was such a lovely evening. Looking forward to exploring more tomorrow. Au revoir!
