London’s Cathedrals

It’s all in the photos. The Thames, Elizabeth Tower (with Big Ben), Houses of Parliament  and Westminster Abbey…oh and Nikki

Day 3

Nikki : Another fun and busy day! We had slightly later start to get Westminster Abbey. There was bit of a queue and a wait, but worth it! Enjoyed a pancake while waiting (Roy made the mistake of working out the cost in Rands). So much history and so much to absorb. We ate our homemade roll in the gardens too. Big Ben was wonderful to see up close. After not being able to access the Churchill War Museum (fire alarm and queue), we made our way to the Thames boat ride. There we enjoyed the lovely views in beautiful weather. Enjoyed a Ben and Jerry’s ice-cream – yum! Had fun navigating our way to the Underground today heading to St Paul’s Cathedral. Wow, wow, wow – spectacular, loved it! Wandered up Fleet Street/Strand Street before heading to the station once more – Waterloo! Another great day together!
