We will start with the men’s draw and the day started with Garin defeating 31st seed, Brooksby, in 4 sets. Kubler began what would be a great day for Australians as he defeated American, Sock, in 5 sets. 19th seed, Australian, beat Brit, Broady, in straight sets. 21st seed, van de Zandschulp kept his cool in the 3rd set tiebreak against Gasquet. This allowed him to lead 2 sets to 1. He then cruised in the 4th set to book his spot in the 4th round. Nakashima and Fritz both won their matches in straight sets. 2nd seed, Nadal, cruised past 27th seed, Sonego. Nadal just dropping 7 games in the match. The big headline match of the day was Kyrgios vs Tsitsipas and the match did not disappoint. So much happened during that match – from Kyrgios swearing and complaining to Tsitsipas hitting a spectator. In amidst all the drama the tennis on display was amazing. Kyrgios managing to come through in 4 sets and will face Nakashima in the 4th round.

The ladies matches on day 6 certainly changed the fantasy leaderboard with the number 1 seed, Swiatek, losing for the first time in 38 matches. Her 37 match win streak came to an end after Cornet defeated her 6-4; 6-2. An amazing match by the 32 year old French tennis player. Tan continued her good form as she defeated Brit, Boulter, in straight sets. She just dropped 2 games. Australian, Tomljanovic, defeated 13th seed, Krejcikova, in 3 sets. Anisimova defeated Gauff in 3 sets. This was the other match which certainly spiced up the fantasy leaderboard with many teams having Gauff in them. 4th seed, Badosa, 16th seed, Halep, and 17th seed, Rybakina, all came through their matches in straight sets. Unseeded, Martic, produced another upset on day 6 as she defeated 8th seed, Pegula, in straight sets.

Onto the fantasy leaderboard and once again we have a change at the top. ‘Shot in the Dark 2’ takes the lead. Just 1 point behind is ‘Team Kickbutt’. Our leader from yesterday – ‘Boris the Grand Slammer’ – drops to 3rd and is now 7 points off the lead. ‘Smash and Grab’ moved up an impressive 12 spots to sit in 4th. The last prize position is currently being held by ‘Magic Team’ who sits in 5th. ‘Slip and Slide’ moved up 4 spots so no longer sits in the wooden spoon position. ‘Bolt’ now sits in that position. The big news of the day was ‘Kiss My Ace’ who have been eliminated already. That just proves how crazy this Wimbledon Championships have been so far. Will day 7 provide us with more upsets?

Top Half

Bottom half

Results from day 6

Tomljanovic beat Krejcikova(13) – 2-6; 6-4; 6-3

Anisimova(20) beat Gauff(11) – 6-7(4); 6-2; 6-1

Rybakina(17) beat Zheng – 7-6(4); 7-5

Cornet beat Swiatek(1) – 6-4; 6-2

Badosa(4) beat Kvitova(25) – 7-5; 7-6(4)

Martic beat Pegula(8) – 6-2; 7-6(5)

Garin beat Brooksby(31) – 6-2; 6-3; 1-6; 6-4

Kubler beat Sock – 6-2; 4-6; 5-7; 7-6(4); 6-3

van de Zandschulp(21) beat Gasquet – 7-5; 2-6; 7-6(7); 6-1

Kyrgios beat Tsitsipas(4) – 6-7(2); 6-4; 6-3; 7-6(7)

Nadal(2) beat Sonego(27) – 6-1; 6-2; 6-4

Matches to watch on day 7

Bouzkova vs Garcia (12:00)

Goffin vs Tiafoe(23) (13:15)

Maria vs Ostapenko(12) (14:00)

Norrie(9) vs Paul(30) (15:15)

Sinner(10) vs Alcaraz(5) (15:45)

Mertens(24) vs Jabeur(3) (17:15)

Djokovic(1) vs van Rijthoven (17:45)

Upsets galore on day 6!!
