With Melbourne going into a 5-day lockdown, there will sadly be no fans for the next 5 days. What a day today was! A superb fight back from Thiem to beat Australian Nick Kyrgios in 5 sets after being 2 sets to love down and 2 break points down in his first service game in the third set. Taylor Fritz also managing to come back from 2 sets down but he couldn’t get over the line. Djokovic managing to fight through pain to beat Fritz in 5 sets. Karatsev continues his good form knocking out the ninth seed Schwartzman in straight sets. So far an absolutely dominant display and I’m starting to wonder if anyone can catch them. Still a long way to go though.
