After a brief stumble in the second set, Alcaraz regained his rhythm and dominated the rest of the match. He will next face Damir Dzumhur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Biggest Surprises:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stefanos Tsitsipas<\/strong>, ranked 20th and a past finalist, was knocked out by 167th-ranked Italian Matteo Gigante in four sets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Casper Ruud<\/strong>, seeded seventh and a two-time finalist, lost to Nuno Borges of Portugal. Ruud struggled with a knee issue and faded badly in the final sets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Noteworthy Matches:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tommy Paul<\/strong> staged a thrilling comeback from two sets down to beat Marton Fucsovics in five.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Frances Tiafoe<\/strong> cruised past Pablo Carreno Busta in straight sets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Holger Rune<\/strong> and <strong>Lorenzo Musetti<\/strong> both had confident straight-sets wins to reach the next round.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Farewell Appearance:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Richard Gasquet<\/strong>, playing his final French Open, bowed out after a second-round loss to <strong>Jannik Sinner<\/strong>. Despite the loss, Raducanu\u2019s coach emphasized that she\u2019s still growing and should no longer be defined by her 2021 US Open title.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aryna Sabalenka<\/strong>, the world No. 1, also advanced with a strong performance, showing more depth and variety in her game.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Highlights:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Jasmine Paolini<\/strong> ended <strong>Ajla Tomljanovic\u2019s<\/strong> run with a straight-sets win.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bernarda Pera<\/strong> upset 18th-seeded <strong>Donna Vekic<\/strong> in a tight third-set tiebreak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Olga Danilovic<\/strong> knocked out <strong>Danielle Collins<\/strong>, a former Australian Open finalist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Onto the fantasy leaderboard and we have a new leader&#8230;&#8217;Down the Line&#8217; has moved to the top of the leaderboard after sitting in 2nd yesterday. They lead by 3 points over &#8216;Left is Best&#8217; who moved up 8 places and into 2nd place. Our leader from yesterday drops 2 positions and sits in 3rd place. Then there is a 3 way tie for 4th between &#8216;Rally Tally Score&#8217;, &#8216;Chalk Dust&#8217; and &#8216;Back on Court!&#8217;. There is still a tie for 30th spot but 75th spot is currently being held by &#8216;Muncky 2&#8217; who sit on 45 points.
