Day 10 of the US Open and the second round of quarter-final action was played. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting with the ladies and the first match on was between unseeded Muchova and 22nd seed, Haddad Maia who was the last player left in the draw which no one picked. The 3 teams who picked Muchova were ecstatic as she dominated in this quarter-final, coming away with a 6-1; 6-4 victory earning her a whopping 12 fantasy league points which now makes her the best lady pick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her opponent is 6th seed and home favourite Pegula who knocked out 1st seed, Swiatek in straight sets. Pegula taking the match 6-2; 6-4 and is now a match away from her first grand slam final. Can she do it in front of her home fans?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the mens side we had 25th seed, Draper against 10th seed, De Minaur. Both players taking full advantage of Alcaraz being knocked out early. Draper who had been playing some great tennis continued his run of form as he knocked out the Aussie in a 6-3; 7-5; 6-2 win. He is still yet to lose a set and is looking strong. Just 1 solitary team picked Draper and is loving the form he is showing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last match was a mouthwatering rematch of this years Aussie Open final between 1st seed, Sinner and 5th seed, Medvedev. Sinner took the opener before Medvedev leveled the scores with an equally impressive 2nd set. Sinner then dominated the 3rd set to lead 2 sets to one. The 4th set was the tightest set of the 4 but it was Sinner who managed to get the all important break to book his spot in the US Open semi-final. He is the only top 10 seed left and is showing why he is currently the number 1 in the world. Can Draper upset Sinner is the question now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onto the fantasy leader and we have a new leader. ‘Sinner’s Physio’ have been waiting for their moment and has decided on day 10 to take the lead and what a lead they now have. 15 points is the gap out front for ‘Sinner’s Physio’ over 2nd placed ‘Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of’. ‘Lord of the Strings’ is 3 points further back and finishes up the podium spots. ‘Uncle Sam’s Army’ consolidates 4th place while ‘Fraud Watch’ has moved up into 5th place. ‘Team Kickbutt’ continues to descend but is hanging onto a prize in 6th. ‘Flush’ remains in 7th and holds onto the last prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 10 was a big day which saw Medvedev and Swiatek eliminated which has meant we have had to say goodbye to ‘Another Try’, ‘Kamala Harris’, ‘New York, New York’ and ‘Sweet Spot’.<\/p>\n\n\n
